Indie upstarts Her’s drop infectious new single ‘’Speed Racer’’ ahead of forthcoming record release

With their 8-track record Songs of Her’s due to be released in May, the Liverpool duo are treating fans to a high-spirited new track, "Speed Racer".

Full of pep and buoyancy, "Speed Racer’" finds Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading in typically sprightly form. Following on from the slackerish ‘’Dorothy’’ and ‘’What Once Was’’, "Speed Racer" is jauntier than previous outings and packed with the joyous lyrics to match.

Fitzpatrick is in a particularly jolly mood, teasing and jesting "Baby let me tell you why I think it’s gonna happen tonight", and it’s impossible not to get embroiled. In the week of Valentine's Day, those looking for some tips in playful seduction, "Speed Racer" could be just the ticket.

Songs of Her’s is due for release on 12 May.
