Henry Green shares "More Than This", a downtempo cut from upcoming EP Real
“More Than This”, the new single from Bristolian singer-songwriter Henry Green, is about "breaking routine, reconnecting as human beings and living with freedom."
A spacious, downtempo cut from upcoming EP Real, “More Than This” sees Green’s trademark serene sound stripped back even further than usual. Delicate vocals overlie muted percussion, tiptoeing around each other in mesmerising fragility. The warm swell into the dizzying, reverb-laden chorus wafts like a heady summer breeze, ebbing away into another gentle verse. One SoundCloud commenter accurately describes the track as “like the sun rising behind clouds and breaking through them once in a while.”
“More Than This” follows the release of title track “Real” in November. Real will be Green’s first EP since 2015, when previous EP Slow introduced the world to his melancholic electronic sound.
