Ugandan singer and producer Haula could show Lana a thing or two about slow-burning odes to a “bad boy”.
“Good To You”, Haula’s last release of 2016, sees the singer lamenting her relationship with a man who just can’t love her more than his money. The track was written with and produced by Australian producer VRS.US, and sees Haula’s vocal - at once sultry and soaring - laid over classic-sounding keys and subtle, deft drum programming.
With a chorus full of yearning promises and bittersweet strings, “Good To You” is an anthem for any sad girl in love with a man who’s letting her down.
“Good To You” is out now.
