Hannah Lucia challenges the traditional parameters of pop on “Hustle”
Taken from the forthcoming EP Axiom, “Hustle” is a stunning return to form almost two years in the making.
Back in 2015, Hannah Lucia sprung onto the scene with "Lights Out" featuring Giggs. Since then she has done, well, very little. A fairly standard synth-pop track “Don’t Hold Out” was released last year but aside from that, there has been radio silence.
However, the wait is definitely worth it if new single “Hustle” is anything to go by. A rambunctious blend of trap production, hip hop bars and a hook-laden chorus, Hannah Lucia’s latest offering (albeit delayed) is exactly the sort of female-led pop music we need right now. Hopefully, the wait won’t be as long next time.
