Upcoming Leo Stannard support act George Ogilvie rediscovers reality on new single “Foreign Hands”
Falling somewhere between Ben Howard and Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac in terms of sound, Canterbury-born singer-songwriter George Ogilvie shares his new single, “Foreign Hands”
Having been recently announced as the support act on fellow indie singer-songwriter Leo Stannard’s March tour, “Foreign Hands” highlights Ogilvie’s continued determination to carve a distinct path for himself amongst his many peers. The strength of both this single, and those preceding it, lies in his talent for storytelling with absolute clarity. Minimal instrumentation and little apparent studio tampering ensures “Foreign Hands” remains bright and uncluttered throughout.
Of the track’s inspiration, Ogilvie reveals that “‘Foreign Hands’ is about rediscovering reality after feeling trapped by emotions and warped perceptions.”
