New track “Magic Tide” is like floating on a cloud or swimming underwater.
Simon Oscroft and Dan Gibson, both originally from New Zealand, joined together to form Frills after stints in other projects. Reminiscent of bands such as MGMT and The Flaming Lips, the pair takes the fundamentals of shimmering indie pop and turn them on their head, employing psychedelic reflections and ethereal haze in a way that remains original but adheres to the core sensibilities of the genre.
"Magic Tide" is out 22 September.
