Sporting a lounge-y psychedelic tone, the latest material from Melbourne’s nostalgic pop five-piece Foreign/National certainly gives us a taste of the Australian warmth we’re sadly missing out on.
“Paris” brings out the sea breeze and the glittery ocean sparkle, with beach-friendly guitar melodies and echoey chillwave vocals. Whilst the drums tap away softly, they also set the sun high in the sky, making the concept of time seem oh-so distant.
It’s a sedative that masks the grim winter approaching, and instead takes us on a cruise to the dreamy other side of the world.
