Listen: Field Report - "Home (Leave The Lights On)" [UK Premiere]
Chris Porterfield and co. aka Field Report sing life on the road in a new track taken from their second album, Marigolden, released this autumn.
The Milwaukee-based quartet explore homesick tensions after touring on new album Marigolden, and “Home (Leave The Lights On)” questions whether home life will be ready and waiting upon their return.
Frontman Porterfield sings “Leave the lights on… / it might be nighttime when I get there / but I’m on my way home” over country-licked riffs, jittery synth and warm atmos - the sounds one might associate with heading back to normality and comfort.
Marigolden is released on 6 October via Partisan Records. Pre-order from iTunes and Partisan.
