Back in January, we here at Best Fit treated your ears to the lead track from London-via-Norway songstress, Farao’s, debut self-titled EP. We are pleased to now treat your eyes to the beautiful video for the song, directed by Academy Award nominees, Karl Erik Brøndbo and Hallvar Witzø.
The video is shot in striking stop-time, at once conveying the ever-transient nature of the passage of time and the often fractious recollection of memory. We see Kari Jahnsen (aka Farao) singing to the camera passing through a variety of settings, yet it’s unclear whether she’s on the move or the world is simply moving around her. It’s an arresting depiction of the present but absent feeling that accompanies the tumult of a relationship.
Farao’s debut EP is out now on Something Nothing Records.
