Family Friends find connection in closeness with "I'm Like You"
Readying a new EP, sibling duo Family Friends share brand new track "I'm Like You".
"I'm Like You" is the second cut to be shared from the pair's forthcoming EP. It's scuzzed-up garage rock at its most deliciously sweet and tells a tale of conventional romance found through an unconventional connection.
Pop hooks shimmer in a haze of reverb and distortion, not rushing but relishing the candy-coated sound of every moment. Carrying you away to sun drenched days with the most blissful of blue skies, Family Friends' latest offering is equal parts nostalgia and excitement.
"It's about finding another weirdo whose weirdness makes total sense to you," the band say of the song. "That's love."
