Leeds’ BLBX collective are becoming more exciting with every release. Their recent Cities EP, on which each artist wrote a track inspired by (you guessed it) a world city, yielded Jermaine Soul‘s excellent Yogyakarta – and now the producer is back with a new set.
‘It’s Time We Part’ is a filmically aggressive track that instantly brings to mind Hans Zimmer’s panoramic melodicism. It’s taken from the artist’s Observatory EP, a record that flits seamlessly between skitty, percussive dance music and deconstructed, Dabrye-esque hip-hop. Download ‘It’s Time We Part’ below, and grab the EP here.
