
"Illumination" is a fantastic cosmic house exploration from Sweden's Djustin
With their debut album set to be released next week, Djustin have unveiled another taster for it in the shape of the terrific "Illumination".
Djustin is Johan Angergård (Labrador label boss and the man behind The Legends and Club 8 amongst others) and Rose Suau (Shoestrings / Invisible Twin), and the pair will release debut album Voyager on 5 May.
"Illumination" is pulsating from the off; snapping beats and a synth bass act as a platform for Suau's whispered, almost ghostly voice. Once the sparkling electronics and the almost-disco sound of an 808 kick in, the track takes off into orbit. It's essentially house music, but there's a psychedelic wanderlust to proceedings which allows Djustin to push away at the limitations of a beat, seeking out universal truths at the end of a continent-spanning journey.
"Illumination" is taken from Voyager, out 5 May via Labrador.
