Divino Niño navigate the peaks and troughs of love in "Made Up My Mind"
Enlisting Whitney's Will Miller on brass duties, Divino Niño return with "Made Up My Mind", their first taste of new music in the wake of their 2019 album Foam.
Packed full of sensuous melodies and gorgeous harmonies, "Made Up My Mind" is the dreamy new outing by Divino Niño. Their first release since their critically acclaimed 2019 album Foam and completed at the start of lockdown, "Made Up My Mind" is a funky and laidback masterpiece developed during a period of isolation in Wisconsin.
Delicately woven, the soundscape of the track is complete with thunder claps, gooey harmonies and a masterfully seductive trumpet melody courtesy of the brilliant Will Miller of Whitney. Feeling almost as if it could have been lifted from a nostalgic 80s flick - especially considering the atmospheric use of brass - “Made Up My Mind" is a delightful, synth-filled exploration of the peaks and troughs involved in the pursuit of love.
“This song is about the darker side of love,” explains Colombian-born singer Camilo Medina. "Realising the value of something right at the verge of losing it. This is the first time we’ve ever had trumpet/sax in a song and it definitely enhances the sad beauty in it.”
