Dagny turns a hashtag into a rollercoaster of romance on "That Feeling When"

In contrast to last year's bubbly "Love You Like That", the Norwegian singer/songwriter scales new highs and lows as she shows a different side to her pop alchemy. At its beginning "That Feeling When" found life as a reference to the popular Twitter hashtag , you know #thatfeelingwhen, but its developed into something much more than that.

The track is a reflection of a lot of feelings from various points in a relationship. From the earliest flickers of feelings to euphoric highs and the moments when things feel like their crashing down to then the part where things actually do fall apart, "That Feeling When" encompasses everything.

Paired with a music video that sees Dagny's electric live show in action plus some beautiful shots in wild expansive wonderlands, the intimacy of being together and the loneliness of being apart is represented not only through the lyrics, but also through the stunning visuals.

“I’m constantly pushing myself to be more open, daring, and super true,” she explains discussing her new music. With at least one more single coming very soon, she adds “I’m telling real stories. If I don’t believe it, then who will? The youthful optimism is there, because I constantly want to celebrate life.”

"That Feeling When" sounds decidedly Dagny, but also sees her open up and share a much more vulnerable side. Previously this vulnerability has been masked by shining synths and driving beats, but here it feels much more raw. The optimism is laced with melancholy and that's what's so powerful and striking.
