Coves spit out barbed rock track "You're Evil"
Coves are sharing brand new cut "You're Evil", the latest taste of upcoming LP Peel, on Best Fit.
Vocalist/lyricist Beck Wood explains that this track takes potshots at “people that I used to know who shat on my dreams or were two faced.”
The track is a gristly, grisly slab of howling indie rock, with barbed yowls and serpentine riffs bursting through fuzzed-out punk beats. The sounds certainly fit the words from Wood, and after "You're Evil" finishes, you can breath a sigh of relief that you're (probably) not on the receiving end.
Coves are set to play London's Dalston Victoria on 6 April, and will be performing at Brighton fest The Great Escape in May. They are also due to support seminal alt. rockers Pixies at Brixton Academy in July.
Peel is out 1 April on 1965 Records. It follows 2014's debut LP Soft Friday.
