Listen: CHVRCHES – “Lies” (Tourist Remix)

“Lies” is one of many highlights on CHVRCHES’ recent debut album, and now it’s been remixed by Disclosure affiliate Tourist.

The upcoming UK producer gives the track an elongated, tension-building rework, while the original is forthcoming in its power.

Lauren Mayberry’s vocals are used identically to how they appear on the record, yet really shine when removed from the pounding, instant setting of the track and given a new, piano-based home.

This gorgeous piano both starts and finishes the track, dissected by a house style mid-section, making the end product sound almost nothing like “Lies”, yet complements it perfectly.
