With a knowing wink to some of modern pop’s most distinctive voices, new vocalist Chløë Black needs to come up with the goods to set herself apart from the Adeles, Florences and Amys of the world.
Fortunately, latest cut ‘Breaking Bad’ is just the ticket. Amplified by striking grayscale visuals, Black's deep tones convey a timeless feel, billowing atop tender percussion and an undulating organ riff, like smoke hung over postcards sent from old industrial towns.
We’ve Disco Naïveté to thank for shepherding this promising gothic pop starlet our way.
