The newest single from sultry gem Charlotte OC channels choral euphoria even in the "Darkest Hour".
“Darkest Hour is about watching someone become a prisoner in a toxic relationship,” explains the singer. “It’s about feeling powerless because there is nothing you can do to help.”
The brilliance of the song lies in its contrasts; spacious, piano-led verses giving way to the towering vocals of the chorus. Lyrically, it’s every part the soulful sorcery we’ve come to expect from this rising star, topped off with a nostalgic vinyl crackle.
“Darkest Hour” follows in the wake of three stellar EPs, and precedes a handful of UK shows this November.
