Noisy Londoner Chairman Kato is best known for his twin passions: doom-laden electronic music, and tea. But, it turns out, he is also a visual artist – and tonight he is opening a group exhibition called Underpin.
The show, which features work from eight artists “stumbled upon through side streets, markets, galleries and coincidence”, will be held in the basement of Teasmith in Smithfield – the site of Kato’s installation with artist Chris Stoneman, whose work is also featured.
Underpin runs from tonight to 7th August, with tonight’s opening sponsored by Time Out First Thursdays. More information here.
