Ahh some songs just made you feel invincible don’t they? A rumbling bass line, a sultry coo, a momentous drum-beat and a euphoric shimmering synth driven chorus, Chairlift’s ‘Met Before’ is one such song. Released yesterday as a digital download single only, its intelligent, powerful pop harmonies are taken from the Colorado duo’s forthcoming sophomore record. Their first full-length effort since 2008’s Kanine Record released debut Does You Inspire You, Something has already given us the mysterious, down tempo ‘Sidewalk Safari’ and the wonderfully choreographed number ‘Amanaemonesia.’ Look out for it on 23 January 2012 when it is released via Young Turks.
