Listen: Caribou - "Can't Do Without You"
Canadian producer Caribou is back. Finally. His last album, Swim, was a surefire stand-out in 2010’s musical landscape and quite frankly left us pining for more.
Thankfully, he’s announced his follow-up album with a gorgeous new track, “Can’t Do Without You”, a song that gains clarity as it moves away from its cloudy opening, much like the progressive nature of his 2010 cut, “Swim”. A warm palette of distorted synth, ratting percussion and motif lyrical swirls, “Can’t Do Without You” is a quietly confident return that recalls the halcyon days of summer before they’ve even begun.
Our Love is released on 6 October via City Slang. Pre-order from iTunes now for a free download of the new single.
