Toronto collective Bruce Peninsula have unveiled the first of a series of one off covers in advance of their second album. The band will be releasing new videos and exclusive tracks a couple of times a month between now and the album’s release in September.
Built around the core of Matt Cully, Neil Haverty, Steve McKay, Andrew Baker and Mischa Bower, the band is often joined by a choir, which has included the likes of Katie Stelmanis (Austra), Casey Mecija (Ohbijou), Taylor Kirk (Timber Timbre), Daniella Gesundheit (Snowblink) and Tamara Linderman (The Weather Station) over the years.
The first track in the Bruce Trail Fire Sale series sees the band take on Louden Wainright III’s The Swimming Song
Look out for more from the band in coming months. In the meantime you can download a track from their previous album A Mountain Is A Mouth as part of Oh! Canada 1
