Listen: Blaenavon – Wunderkind

‘Wunderkind’ is the latest tune off KOSO, the debut EP from Hampshire boys Blaenavon.
Simple, lulling guitar notes are strung together, rippling out like a maudlin lullaby before vocalist Ben Gregory’s sullen timbre marches in with all the poise and sensuality of Hayden Thorpe in heat. A more reserved, introspective composition compared to jagged first teaser, ‘Prague’, but no less illustrative of the subtle variations these precocious indie kids are capable of.
