Betty Who brightens up our February with “Some Kinda Wonderful”
With that Fergie-esque intro, Betty Who shows off her affinity for catchy party-pop on “Some Kinda Wonderful”.
Always upbeat, the most recent single from the Australian singer-songwriter born Jessica Newham is a light, bright slice of sunshine. It may not have the substance of some of her previous releases but by God is it an earworm. With enthusiastic backing vocals and a bouncy electro-infused chorus, there’s plenty of aspects shared with big name releases from Katy Perry and Lily Allen.
“Some Kinda Wonderful” is Betty Who’s first solo release of 2017, preceded only by a feature slot on fellow Australian pop heavyweight Troye Sivan’s single “Heaven”. Her 2016 highlight was the effervescent “I Will Love You Always Forever”, showcasing her sugary-sweet songwriting at its best.
