Watch: Bat And Ball – We Prefer It In The Dark

Five-piece Bat And Ball formed at Goldsmiths College last year, but the relationship between co-vocalists, Abi and Chris Sinclair runs thicker than water.

Recording and performing with various bands during their youth in Devon, the pair tapped into the telepathy which so often bears fruit from sibling writing sessions, with their debut EP, We Prefer It In The Dark, serving as the sparkling finished product. Its title-track recalls London Grammar’s pensive, undulating indie-pop atmospherica, albeit peppered with Alt-J’s colourfully snipped guitar rhythms and a little swirl of Chlöe Howl’s sweetly chirruped attitude too. So far, so alluring right?

The video, premiering at Best Fit today, shows off their artsy side, with Abi and Chris performing a fidgety synchronized dance routine against a mood-lit backdrop. Check it out below.
