Explore the world of elusive opportunity with Bantug on "Just Like a Dream"
"Just Like a Dream" is a shining example of Nashville-based artist Bantug's expertly crafted pop. As the final teaser of forthcoming debut EP Blue it's the perfect introduction to what Bantug is all about.
Having been making music for as long as she can remember, whether that was playing with her brother's drum kit or learning to play the guitar at age eight, Bantug's musical making continued with a move to Nashville, originally for school. Upon finding a community of like-minded musicians there, she set out on her current path.
Experimenting with lyrics, melodies, and production style, "Just Like a Dream" marks the end of a chapter, but also the beginning of a new one for this exciting artist.
Bantug explains that "Just Like a Dream" "was inspired by someone incredibly close to me that just couldn't catch a break. It's this realization that almost everything that comes your way will eventually disappear, but also can come right back to you in some way."
Bantug says of debut EP Blue: "It's so much more than songs. There was so much trial and error through every song. Each song was an experimentation (all being recorded at different times at various locations), but after they were finally finished, I kept finding more of my own voice. Blue is an ode to this time of figuring out what Bantug is."
