Bad Honey's "Motions" is electronic soul at its most enchanting
The South East London duo have ditched their past as LVNA and emerge with a new moniker, new EP and a decisively bolder sound.
Bad Honey's new offering is a magical twisting and turning of freeing tempos, magical harmonies and skittering beats that sees Lydia Clowes and Teresa Origone venture into bolder terrain. The catchy number places Clowes' velvety lead vocals centre stage where they shine above the feathery, interweaving melodies and pristine production.
"Motions" is the first track to be released from their forthcoming EP which they recorded on the Norwegian Island of Søndre Sandøy. The decision to record amongst beautiful sweeping landscapes has evidently had a huge effect on the music of the EP as the track gushes with gentle, understated beauty and grandeur.
It's a song that sees the pair explore the experience of growing up and learning from past decisions and it ultimately serves as a statement that change and starting afresh can be a very good thing.
