Tobias Isaksson, who we last heard from at the end of 2016 under his Nite Flights moniker, is back once again as Azure Blue...and with a single and album in tow.
Featuring the vocal talents of Tangela, "New Moon" throbs like an '80s new wave classic, with atmospheric whooshes and Korallreven-style steel drum percussion.
The upbeat minimal thrills are tempered by Isaksson and Tangela's doleful vocals, leaving the impression that while a new moon signals plans for the future there's still a lot of shit to be dealt with in the here and now.
"New Moon" is taken from Azure Blue's fourth album Fast Falls The Eventide, due out in the Spring via Hybris.
