Amber Simone brings the retro disco vibes on new banger "Trashed My Heart"
Sometimes, the best way to get over your troubles is to shake it off and just dance, and doesn't Amber Simone just know it.
On her newest track, "Trashed My Heart" she encourages you to head to the dancefloor, go get your mojo back and basically forget all of your woes. The track is a heady concoction of funky, slap-bass riffs, disco-ball melodies and a catchy-as-hell chorus that seems tailor made for those truly memorable nights spent with your best mates.
Although inevitably indebted to the high-flying, disco reigning days of the 1970s, Simone's talent comes in how she is able to meld her influences with a refreshingly modern take on a classically disco vibe. It's funk with Nile Rogers/Chic undertones, but it's underpinned by a huge pop sensibility that means it sits very comfortably on a 2018 dancefloor.
The track follows previous singles "Mountains" and "Taught Me Better" and further underpins Simone's position as an exciting, feel-good talent on the rise.
