"Out Of My Head" is the devilishly dizzying debut from Russian-born artist Alina Libkind
Toronto-based, Russian-born musician Alina Libkind today unveils "Out Of My Head", her wonderfully moreish debut single.
"I wrote 'Out Of My Head' on cloud nine," Libkind explains. "The track is about stepping into the uncharted waters of falling in love."
It sounds like that too - tumbling synth lines careen through primal, Lykke Li-like beats and cascading coos, with Libkind's fuzzed-up emotions entwined around each note. It's infested with earworms, with every section more addictive than the last; not many artists can swan in and place an offering like this on the public altar, and that Libkind has done it already bodes very well.
Although her debut single proper, "Out Of My Head" aren't Libkind's first noises - earlier this month "Connection" was debuted, and collaborations with the likes of Aléatoire have garnered attention.
