Alexina firmly positions herself as one-to-watch with edgy pop banger “Cool Together”
London-born but Scottish-raised Alexina, who also writes fiction and scores music for movies, releases another confident track, “Cool Together”, from her upcoming debut EP.
Alexina's new track combines relatable lyrics with a powerful, catchy chorus and on-point production, telling the story of an unexpected infatuation with a mystery girl at a party.
Speaking about the track, Alexina says: “'Cool Together' was written about a house party that my ex-boyfriend threw at his house in the winter of 2017. I met a girl there who I'd never met before and there was just something so electrifying about her - I couldn't even look at her. The backdrop of the house party, the drinking, the heavy music and the presence of this person was so dark and dangerous and exciting.”
With this track placing Alexina comfortably within the world of power pop, it looks like she’s only on the up.
