Stream Holy Family's debut album Cant Dance, Wont Steal, Need Some Help
Gothenburg’s Holy Family relocate to Montreal for the birth of their debut release Cant Dance, Wont Steal, Need Some Help and shed any preconceptions about how Swedish pop music should sound.
For a number of years now, Gothenburg’s musical output has mainly focused around the clique of groups associated with Sincerely Yours - one of the city’s few record labels. Influenced by forefathers (and namesakes) The Embassy, Sincerely Yours birthed the early careers of Air France, jj, Kendal Johansson, Team Rockit, Nordpolen and countless others - all possessing similar DNA in their approach to crafting mysterious, evolving pop music. Holy Family, on the other hand, approach their craft in a different way. Their sound more in line with the experimental quirks of Canadian exports Wolf Parade and Godspeed You! Black Emperor than that of the Factory Records nodding influence of their Swedish cousins.
Holy Family’s debut album Can’t Dance, Won’t Steal, Need Some Help is set for release on 21 July via Melodic Records - stream the record in full, exclusively at The Line Of Best Fit below.
