Kaleidoscopic producer, Antwerp littered his first EP with sounds of the East, and with his follow up, Myriad Shapes, he treads a familiar path.
That’s not to say there hasn’t been development since. EP opener ‘Aardwolves’ certainly has a more upbeat dance feel to it but thankfully, the sounds from Asia remain. Sitars and the like are the main captivating influence, most noticeable on the ‘Endless Maze’, but there’s also familiar electronic grooves to anchor each track.
It’s the East meets West combinations that make Antwerp one of the most interesting sounding producers out there at the moment.
