Fake Yeezus vinyl teaches Kanye West a lesson in aesthetics
Unauthorised, bootleg copies or pressing of albums are always easy to spot: they normally look like the kind of thing you’d buy at a market on holiday in the ’90s. But this (definitely fake) vinyl of Kanye West’s recent album Yeezus is something else altogether.
With the original CD version coming out without proper artwork, just a blank disc enclosed in a simple jewel case accompanied by a red sticker, it’s been hard to think how the album could be issued on a vinyl format.
This listing on Ebay, pictured above, however should give Kanye an idea if he ever decides to make it available on LP, with a translucent clear wax kept in a picture sleeve depicting simply the red tag.
Now, we don’t recommend anybody actually buys it, but hopefully West’s creative group DONDA sees the thing and makes the dream a reality.
