Drake's own father sampled on his new album
Having recently revealed that his new album features the likes of Jay Z, Lil Wayne and Hudson Mohawke, it has now been confirmed that R&B star Drake samples his dad on one of the tracks from that very release.
Nothing Was The Same drops on 24 September and contains two front covers depicting both present-day and baby Drake. But now it looks like two generations of Drake’s family will feature on the LP, with father, Dennis Graham, appearing on bonus cut ‘Heat of the Moment’.
“I’m living my dad’s dream. My dad wanted to be a famous singer,” Drake told XXL recently. “All he wants to do is go to Beale Street in Memphis and play music. He’s rediscovered his passion for music and for being a musician.”
He’s also been sampled on ‘Jodeci Freestyle’, previously revealed and streaming below:
