We hung out with the inimitable Caroline Rose before her sold out debut London headline show at The Victoria in Dalston. After shooting stills from a film that doesn’t exist (we’re thinking some sort of John Hughes B movie) Caroline took to the stage to play all her “favourite songs” to her “favourite crowd”. Rose made her way through 2018’s stunning ‘Loner’, including an A++ cover of Britney’s ‘Toxic’ and a five minute break in ‘Money’ where Caroline chugged a beer, waited for the resulting gas, introduced the band, introduced the cat and played ‘My Heart Will Go On’ on the recorder (with accompaniment from an audience in fine voice) before launching into the tracks final blistering bars.
Next time Caroline Rose returns to the UK we have a feeling she’ll chugging beers in much bigger rooms.
