05 July 2016, 12:00

Surrounded by sun, sea, and sensational sounds, NOS Alive is one of the most exciting festivals to take place this summer.

Celebrating its tenth birthday, the line up for this year's event is nothing short of sensational. Where else can you dance through the early hours with The Chemical Brothers, lose yourself in the majesty of Radiohead, and experience the carnival of colour that is Arcade Fire all within the space of three days? With a line up completed by the likes of Grimes, Father John Misty, John Cooper Clarke, The 1975, and Robert Plant, there's something here for everyone.

The fun doesn't end there. Situated a short walk from downtown Lisbon and the city's gorgeous beach, the festival offers the opportunity to explore a city rich in culture and heritage. From the iconic archetecture to the quirk and character of the streets, With the promise of glorious weather to boot, is there really anywhere else you'd rather be?

With only a matter of days before the festival commences, we took a look at some of the Portuguese acts that will be bringing the celebration to life with a flair of homegrown flavour.
