All Apologies: Adia Victoria takes the Best Fit Q&A

23 May 2016, 11:37

Nashville-raised singer/songwriter Adia Victoria is riding high with her debut album out but how will she cope under the scrutiny of the Best Fit Q&A?

Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Probably a cat. I don't know. Probably Emma Stone the way Hollywood operates.

What would your superpower be and why?

I'd like to be able to fly. I don't drive, and flights are expensive.

What’s your idea of heaven?

I don't have one.

What one thing have you learnt from your parents?

That there's no use going through this world as anything but yourself.

What song do you wish you’d written?

"Wolf Like Me" by TV On The Radio. "Dollars and Sense" by Radiohead. The line "be constructive with your blues" is going to be on my headstone.

If you could say something to your 15-year-old self, what would it be?

Fuck 'em. Keep moving.

What’s your reoccurring nightmare?

That's personal.

What song will they play at your funeral?

My sister and I both want the theme to The Young And The Restless played at our funerals. My relationship with my soaps is the most constant and beneficial one in my life.

What five people would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?

Flannery O Connor - For her epic shade game.

Anne Frank - I'd bake her a whole chocolate cake.

Toni Morrison - She would teach me Sethe's recipe for the most poetically airy biscuits.

Fiona Apple - for the drama

Kurt Cobain - because i just get the feeling Kurt knew juicy gossip.

And, finally, who would you most like to apologise to and why?

"Never explain. Never complain." -Kate Moss

Adia Victoria's debut album Beyond The Bloodhounds is out now.
