18 August 2017, 08:21 | Written by The Line of Best Fit

In this week's episode of Talk The Line podcast, singer/songwriter and activist Nadine Shah talks about the taboo of mental health and her own struggles to be mentally well.

Shah has been an advocate for good mental health since the release of her first album Love Your Dum and Mad, inspired by two friends who took their own lives. She's volunteered with the Samaritans and works with Calm, the Campaign Against Living Miserably. As a second generation immigrant, Nadine was born in the North East of England to an English mother and a Pakistani father. Her new record Holiday Destination is an album that deals with the refugee crisis as well as issues of identity and nationalism.
