Dr Dre to sue Yamaha for copying his headphones
Rapper, headphones salesman and highest-grossing musician of 2012, Dr Dre is set to sue Yamaha for supposedly copying the design of his Beats By Dre brand.
AllHipHop report that Dre’s representatives are suing the electronic company for their PRO headphone range of products.
The lawsuit document reads:
“Consumers appreciated the design, as well as the sound quality, of Beats and began wearing the Beats headphones around their necks as a fashion accessory even when not listening to music. In fact the design of the Beats headphones has been a significant driver of the commercial success of the products.”
