Fucked Up celebrate launch of new website with release of archive material
Toronto hardcore-punk crew, Fucked Up don’t tend to do things the normal way. Building a website normally comes before a band has even released their first single, but Fucked Up decided to do things the other way around – finally launching an official website some 12 years after they formed.
“After playing almost 750 shows and releasing over 60 records we’ve finally decided to do something that most bands now do before having ever played live or physically released anything — make a real website,” a statement from the band reads. “At first, without a place on the internet that we called home, it felt mysterious, later just useless, and finally it just became a talking point. Now we realize that it’s just become a pain in the ass.”
To mark the occasion, the group have shared a series of mixtapes containing rarities, live recordings, alternate takes and more. You can enjoy those below:
