The Line Of Best Fit to host the ‘Annexe’ Stage at the Liverpool Music Week 2011 closing party

We’re incredibly thrilled to announce that we’ll be hosting our own stage at the Sennheiser Liverpool Music Week Closing Party on November 11 at The Contemporary Urban Centre.

The ‘Annexe Gallery’ stage will play host one of the most hotly anticipated rooms in the multi-stage Closing Party headlined with a homecoming show for band-of-the-moment Outfit, alongside long-term favourites of TLOBF Echo Lake, Bos Angeles, D/R/U/G/S, new producer DAUWD and Liverpool’s Ex-Easter Island Head.

Elsewhere on the night, the 17-room labyrinthine-like Contemporary Urban Centre will be turned into an expansive performance space, showcasing some of the freshest, most up and coming acts on the scene. From acclaimed rhythms and rhymes courtesy of the irreverent Mercury Nominee Ghostpoet to the heartfelt lyricism of standout alternative songstress Beth Jeans Houghton and alt-rock with The Phantom Band and late-night-noise from Brooklyn hype band Cerebral Ballzy. The phrase something for everyone comes to mind. Also of note are appearances from Liverpool buzz band Stealing Sheep, The Whip, Hyde & Beast, Gross Magic, Dutch Uncles, Upset the Rhythm’s Apatt and legendary reggae disc-spinner DJ Derek.

The Closing Party rounds off a mouth-watering 2 weeks with of venue-hopping festivities. Alongside 2011 festival headliners The Horrors who opened festivities a few days ago, there are also a huge spread of free-entry festival events seeing headline shows from the likes of Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Summer Camp, The Young Knives, Three Trapped Tigers, Frankie & the Heartstrings and Lanterns on the Lake.
