The pairing of two 90s musical maestros could be genius or disastrous. Fortunately Heather Steele finds that Jonny, the brainchild of Norman Blake and Euros Childs, is a harmonious collaboration that highlights their individual styles while creating a different, yet timeless debut.

Jonny – Gloria (The Line of Best Fit Session)
The hybrid of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci’s Euros Childs and Teenage Fanclub’s Norman Blake was bound to bear some interesting fruit and we doubt there’ll be a better combination of talents in the next twelve months than Jonny. Expecting a rendition of sublime single ‘Candyfloss’, we actually got something better: the quirky perfect pop minute-and-a-half of ‘Gloria’, an ode to the Miami Sound Machine diva.
