While these songs have a built in appeal simply because of the bands that are involved, none of the contributions truly reflect the unique skills of these artists. A wasted opportunity.

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis – White Lunar
“White Lunar” compiles the best of Cave and Ellis’ soundtrack work to date, and proves to be a sometimes challenging but always rewarding listen.

Moby – Wait For Me
Moby’s spent most of his time since the genre defining album Play in the musical wilderness. It’s anyone’s guess where it all went wrong, but Wait For Me shows there might be life in the old dog yet.

Various Artists – Awaydays Original Soundtrack
Kevin Sampson’s cult novel about football casuals and youth gang mentality comes with a well conceived late 70s post-punk friendly soundtrack album.
