Yup - you read it right! News literally just in - The Jesus Lizard have agreed to reform and play at next years ATP vs The Fans Festival. The orginal lineup of David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims and Mac McNeilly will be playing a series of shows throughout 2009, but the ATP hosted event will be the first live appearence from the Lizard since they disbanded in 1999.
In conjunction with the reformation, Touch and Go Records will reissue four full-length releases from the Jesus Lizard in May 2009. Remastered recordings of Head, Goat, Liar, and Down will be available on both LP and CD, all with expanded packaging and liner notes. Bob Weston is heading up the remastering process with Steve Albini, the original session engineer, sitting in.
In other ATP news; The Cave Singers have also confirmed for the vs The Fans event which (if you didn’t already know) takes place at Butlins Minehead on between 8th and 10th of May.
