Ash bring their ambitious “26 singles in a year” project to a satisfying conclusion, raising hopes that other bands might follow their lead.

Ash – A-Z Vol. 1
Half way through their year of releasing 26 new singles, Ash let us catch up with their progress so far on this impressive compilation of the first 13 songs.

Charlotte Hatherley – New Worlds
New Worlds is the sound of Hatherly and band kicking back and having fun. Perhaps now there has been enough time since she left Ash that she doesn’t feel she has to prove herself and she can relax and concentrate on the tunes. Andrew Grillo reviews.

Truck Festival (Truck 12) – Oxford 25-26 July 2009
Truck successfully manages to grow a little larger every year whilst still keeping its warm, small, distinctly family and quite local feel. Jude Clarke reviews.
