The Smoke Fairies warmed up for their upcoming album, Through Low Light And Trees which was recorded in Cornwall and produced by Head (who worked with early PJ Harvey), with a tiny and intimate show in Camden.
Now a proper band, they’ve added a full rhythm session, a bass and drums, as well as a violin player which spices things up, allowing Katherine more time to enjoy her slide guitar solos. Their usual wealth of vocal harmonies were still present, and their trademark angelic, yet dark, folk blues remain.
