High Places – ’03/07 – 09/07′

By Tom Whyman, 3rd June 2008

WARNING: POINTLESSLY HIGH-CONCEPT ANTI-REVIEW TO FOLLOW

Scene 1: A Manchester University halls bedroom

Tom Whyman is sitting at his desk. He has just received a copy of ’03/07-09/07′ from a certain Mr. Richard Hughes.

High Places enters.

High Places
: Hi, I’m High Places.

Tom: Hello, High Places.

High Places: I’m a New York-based duo, I’ve been hyped a bit by Pitchfork, my music is sensual without being sexual, I have a fashionably varied palette of influences, and I’ve just done this 28-minute long compilation which illustrates the extent of my potential wonderfully whilst still being an absorbingly enjoyable listen in itself.

Tom: I agree with you completely, High Places.

High Places: Cool. I’ll just go then, right?

Tom: Yeah, pretty much. I have very little else to add. This is a really fun record though. Lovely, too.

High Places: Thanks so much!

Tom: My pleasure.

End scene.

This may well be the laziest review I have ever written. Really like the album though. Haha.
