The Walkmen have announced plans to release a new album. Called Lisbon, that’s the cover art above, and Fat Possum Records will release it in on 14th Sept in the US. No info on UK release yet.
Lisbon was recorded over a two-year period in warehouses on Girard Ave in Philadelphia, and on the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn. A few songs that helped establish the record’s tone were written during several inspiring and successful trips to Lisbon, Portugal.
More info when we get it folks… Of course, the main question is, will they ever write a song as good as ‘The Rat’?
