The Mountain Goats have announced a new album coming this October.
John Darnielle and co’s fourteenth record so far, Transcendental Youth will be released via Merge Records on 1 October in the UK and a day later in the U.S.
12 songs in length, the tracklisting is as below and the album art can be seen above. It looks like something from the Van Gogh episode of Doctor Who, we think.
